Even if you are a massive Beatles fan, you may not have known that one spectacular Scottish village is said to have been a favourite holiday spot of John Lennon.
Music fans all over the world are rejoicing at the news that The Beatles are set to release new music.
As reported by the Scottish Daily Express, Lennon was said to feel more Scottish than English in his younger days due to how much time he spent with his family in the Highlands village of Durness. Located in the traditional county of Sutherland, Durness is a popular spot along the North Coast 500 driving route, home to some of the most spectacular beaches in the world.View gallery Among the most famous of these is Balnakeil Beach, which is a breathtaking bay situated just a mile from Durness.
