The Greater Manchester park with water fountain and sand pit kids will love this half term
busy over half term can be tricky, but luckily we’ve got dozens of parks and green spaces across Greater Manchester you can visit with your little ones this week. With plenty of sunshine on the cards over the next couple of days, it’s a brilliant time to get outside and explore what’s on your doorstep.
At the centre are the water fountains, which are a firm favourite with kids during hot weather. There’s a huge flat tiled area where water jets up from the ground and children can splash around until their hearts' content. Another intriguing feature of Stamford Park is the aviary, home to a selection of birds including hens and budgies. It was first installed at the park during the 1950s.
