This week, 185 countries of the world are gathering in Vancouver, Canada at the Assembly of the Global Environment Facility (GEF)
may provide an important opportunity for engagement in this regard as well.
For four years I had the privilege of serving on the Scientific and Technical Advisory Panel of the GEF, and reviewing hundreds of proposals submitted byand host governments alongside private sector and civil society partners. What these projects have been able to accomplish with relatively modest resources is impressive.
