TheFlash Director Got a 'Confidence Boost' From Tom Cruise & Stephen King's Praise
director Andy Muschietti got a confidence boost when Tom Cruise and Stephen King praised the DCEU superhero movie.
The upcoming DC Extended Universe movie stars Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash, as he discovers he can travel through time and uses his power to save his mother from dying. However, he inadvertently creates a timeline where the Justice League does not exist. He must team up with an alternate version of himself and an alternate Bruce Wayne/Batman to fix his mistake.
“It’s a very cynical industry, and to hear people that really have no skin in the game, because they have nothing to gain, just say something that lovely – in the case of Tom Cruise, he called us, talked for 15 minutes, praising Andy, praising the film, and it just feels very good because we really work very hard to make these movies,” said The Flash producer Barbara Muschietti.Jonathan Sim is a film critic and filmmaker born and raised in New York City.
