Barry Allen begins the final run in The Flash season 9 poster as the last season of the Arrowverse series approaches. The CW is getting ready to bid farewell to one of their longest-running shows of all time. Grant Gustin is returning as the fastest man alive for one more season. Unlike past seasons, The Flash's swan-song season will only have 13 episodes. However, The Flash will still be the longest-running Arrowverse series when everything is said and done.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY As The CW is getting ready to premiere The Flash season 9 in less than a month, the network unveiled a new poster for the final season. The network debuted new artwork as Gustin's Scarlet Speedster is seen running into the distance, with "The Final Run" mantra incorporated again. The poster is also doing something new from previous The Flash marketing material, as posters of past seasons can be seen on both sides.
Supergirl's Nicole Maines will also be back as Nia Nal, a.k.a. Dreamer, for a single episode. Dreamer will be teaming up with Iris West-Allen in what Eric Wallace described as "investigating their own very bizarre and frightening mystery." It is unclear which episode Nia is set to appear in during the final season. Episode 9 will also be a huge one for The Flash season 9. Stephen Amell's Green Arrow will make his first appearance in the Arrowverse 2020 in episode 9.
As far as storylines go, Barry will face a league of Rogues, led by most likely Red Death. Another deadly adversary will rise later in The Flash season 9, who will most likely be the new avatar of the Negative Speed Force. There will likely be more news coming out about The Flash's final season throughout the year as the season is airing on TV. Hopefully, there will be at least one more trailer for The Flash season 9 to get fans ready for the series' massive final season.
