Fashion's finest including VeraWang, KaiaGerber, Coco Rocha came out to DKMS_us's gala with Coty.
Last night, DKMS gathered Manhattan’s movers and shakers for a black-tie affair with their three-decade-long partner, Coty. Hosted at Cipriani Downtown, the evening celebrated DKMS’s global work fighting against blood cancer and blood disorders by saving lives through stem cell transplants.
From iconic CoverGirl Niki Taylor to the current face of Daisy Marc Jacobs for Coty, Kaia Gerber, the evening was filled with fashion’s finest guests like Vera Wang, Jaime King, Coco Rocha, Valerie Boster, Julieta Grajales, and LP. To raise awareness and critical funds for the cause, Sotheby’s Michael Macaulay hosted a live auction to kick off the night while Grammy-winning group Black Eyed Peas ended things with a special performance.
Not only does DKMS run the only laboratory that can take over 1 million new donors per year, but the non-profit also operates a stem cell clinical research unit that focuses on improving the outcome of stem cell transplantation worldwide. “The true genius of DKMS is that it’s deeply rooted in science,” CEO of Coty Sue Y.
Since Coty’s early support of DKMS, more than 1,700 employees have stepped up and registered as life-saving stem cell donors. “This science-driven approach, as you can imagine, resonates with us at Coty,” Nabi explained, “We are deeply rooted in science; that’s how we innovate for new, better, and different beauty.”
