A remorseless predator who attacked two women within weeks of each other is amongst those jailed in Greater Manchester this week.
Remorseless Ibrahim, from Levenshulme, raped and sexually assaulted both women while they were either asleep or partly conscious. Manchester Crown Court was told of the turmoil which their ordeal has caused. She said her life was now 'on track', but told how the attack would be 'in back of mind for the rest of life'. Ibrahim was found guilty of two counts of rape; and two counts of sexual assault. He was sentenced to 10 years. He will serve two-thirds of the sentence in custody.
On September 2, 2021, Lancashire Police stopped a man and a woman in Colne, Lancashire, who were found with heroin and crack cocaine. All three were charged with conspiring to supply crack cocaine and heroin – offences they pleaded guilty to. After punching and kicking him in the face, Moreton then jabbed the crossbow into his left eye. The victim, aged 18, didn’t think he had been seriously injured at first.
Matthew Carney, 27, of Mull Avenue, Longsight, would sometimes use 'excessive violence' to steal his victim's handbags and mobile phones, Greater Manchester Police said.
