For the latest edition of the Daily Record's new weekly series showcasing Scotland's top walks and beauty spots, we have chosen the breathtaking Hermitage forest.
It is hard to believe that we are almost halfway through March, but spring is only just getting started.
For those unsure where to head for a scenic hike this spring, the Daily Record has launched a new series spotlighting Scotland's must-see trails and beauty spots. This week, we have chosen the magical forest of The Hermitage. With so much beauty all around, it is easy to see why The Hermitage was originally an 18th-century pleasure ground for the Dukes of Atholl. According to VisitScotland, the forest is even said to have been a favourite spot of none other than Queen Victoria, as well as the likes of Felix Mendelssohn and J.M. Turner.
