Europe’s largest indoor funfair is back in Glasgow!
The Irn-Bru Carnival is returning to the SEC this festive season and there is no shortage of fun to be had with a huge array of rides, stalls and games on offer at the massive indoor funfair.
Running between Friday, December 23 and Sunday, January 15, the carnival, which is one of Scotland’s longest-running shows, has been part of Glasgow's festive programme for over a century, with generations of Glaswegians enjoying the classic stalls like hook-a-duck and the dodgems alongside the latest thrill rides.
With that in mind, we asked the team behind the Carnival to tell us what some of the unmissable rides are at this year's event:What they said: "The Carnival’s outside ride for this year, the Starflyer is not for the faint-hearted. Ascending up to 40 metres high, you are strapped into a swing-style chair and spun around as the carousel rotates.
"Get involved with your friends or family, and prepare for a ride of pure thrill and delight as the cars spin at speed while bouncing up and down. You’ll find this ride easily – just listen for the screams of thrill and laughter and they’ll lead you right to it."What they said: "You wouldn’t be a thrill seeker if you didn’t crave the upside-down sensation of some Carnival rides.
