The best and worst energy providers as ranked by customers, revealed ⤵️
Scottish Power came the bottom of the pack, with E.On Next only one point ahead. SSE, So Energy and Shell Energy shared the position of third-worst provider.exorbitantly expensive winterThe league table, published on Thursday, was based on respondents’ satisfaction with their suppliers and the likelihood they would recommend the firm to others. The consumer group also scored suppliers on customer service, how they dealt with complaints and how they supported customers in need.
Octopus was named a Which? “recommended provider” for the sixth consecutive year, and was the sole supplier to earn that title this year. The renewable energy group was also the only provider to receive a five-star rating in any category, with customers awarding five stars for usefulness of information about energy costs. It received four-star ratings for every other category.
Shell Energy and SSE each received one star for value for money. Over half of SSE customers complained about an issue with their bill, while those with Shell were the least likely to recommend their provider.
