The Acura Precision EV concept previews the brand's all-electric future.
The Precision EV uses inspiration from Italian power boats for its design, according to Acura. The matte paint is called Double Apex Blue, and pairs nicely with the new illuminated diamond pentagon corporate grille. The wheels measure 23 inches in diameter, and shroud a set of massive brakes with yellow-painted calipers.
Acura says the cabin is made from"sustainable, environmentally-responsible materials" that include recycled plastic and 100-percent biomass leather. The low-slung driving position and steering yoke draw inspiration from Formula 1 cars. Then there are the driving modes."Instinctive" puts the driver in the focus, while"Spiritual" allows them to kick back and relax.
“The Acura Precision EV Concept is a look into our future direction and continues Acura’s Precision Crafted Performance design language with a modern expression of performance," executive creative director Dave Marek said in a statement. “The Acura Precision EV Concept will be our North Star as we move into an exciting electrified future, and you will see these design cues translate over to future production models.
