Scots dog owners are being warned to take caution when feeding their pets festive treats from the dinner table

While some people may feel their pooch should be allowed a nibble of Christmas dinner this year, animals experts that certain festive foods should never be given to dogs, as doing so could result in "deadly" consequences.Scottish SPCA chief superintendent Mike Flynn said: “While it is common for people to overindulge during the festive season, we urge pet owners to think twice before giving their animal lots of treats.
“This Christmas please be mindful not to regularly give your pet human food and ensure any plates are kept out of reach. There is a multitude of foods and snacks which humans can eat but which can be toxic, or even deadly, to our pets.
