During the harrowing trial, it was alleged Letby carried out some of the sickening attacks to get the attention of a doctor, known as Doctor A, on the neonatal unit.
Killer Lucy Letby, who has been described by experts as a 'covert narcissist', hid her true nature by appearing as a 'beige' woman who loved her job as an NHS nurse.
While hearing about the innocent children who were killed, Letby showed little emotion but she cried quietly when speaking about her two cats and the home she will now never see again. When she heard his voice, she became visibly distressed for the first time during the trial. She tried to leave the dock, claiming to feel 'unwell' but prosecutor Nick Johnson replied: "No, it's because you didn't like hearing your boyfriend giving evidence, did you?"
It was alleged that she had a 'crush' on the doctor and murdered two premature triplets in less than 24 hours to get his attention.
