Texas seeking fourth non-conference opponent for 2024 season
AUSTIN — The SEC’s decision to stick with an eight-game conference schedule when it expands to 16 members in 2024 has left Texas athletic director Chris Del Conte scrambling to find one more nonconference opponent.
The Houston Chronicle's Brent Zwerneman reported that the SEC is expected to adopt a long-term format between an eight- or nine-game league schedule in the coming year.SEC goes with 8-game conference schedule for 2024; Texas A&M still expects to host Texas that year That could be tricky considering how far in advance programs typically arrange nonconference games.
