Lawsuits have been filed against and on behalf of members of the North Texas hate group Patriot Front, known for their public marches and banner drops. Recently, authorities arrested members of this white supremacist group near an Idaho pride event, as they were discovered packed into the back of a U-Haul truck with riot gear.

One lawsuit was filed Tuesday in U.S. district court in Massachusetts on behalf of Charles M. Murrell III, a Black musician and teacher who said he was attacked by several members of the group as they marched in Boston last July in what the lawsuit described as a racially motivated attack.Advertisement
“What happened to Mr. Murrell was no accident,” the lawsuit says. “For years, Patriot Front ... has publicly and privately advocated for the use of violence against those who disagree with its express goal of creating an entirely ‘white’ United States. And for years, under the leadership of Thomas Rousseau, Patriot Front has trained its members to commit acts of violence against its perceived opponents.
