No. 1 Alabama is favored by more than three touchdowns over Texas A&M, even after the Aggies toppled the then-top-ranked Crimson Tide a year ago 41-38 at Kyle Field. Much has changed since, including Fisher’s infamous diatribe in May dubbing Saban, Alabama’s iconic coach, a narcissist who believes he’s God after Saban claimed A&M “bought” its entire top-rated 2022 recruiting class.
Saban, who’s won six national titles at Alabama and seven total, was in his sixth season in Tuscaloosa, Ala., when the Aggies pulled off a memorable upset in 2012 behind quarterback Johnny Manziel, who won the Heisman Trophy that year. He’s earned four starts since, but has thrown a total of eight interceptions to six touchdowns in his career — one reason he lost the starting job three games in this season. His replacement, Max Johnson, hurt his left hand a week ago against Mississippi State and might be out for the rest of the season.
