The teen couple live in Blackpool and asked for local date suggestions suitable for an autistic person
Growing up in a seaside resort certainly has its perks. There's a beach on your doorstep, a theme park, amusement arcades and countless cafes and attractions to choose from.
The 14-year-old Reddit user and their boyfriend who is 15 took to the Blackpool subreddit thread on the discussion platform to ask for inspiration on "somewhere nice" to head out on a date together in their hometown. In the wholesome post the OP explained that they are autistic and "don't really like busy, loud places and in Blackpool that’s pretty much everywhere."
They also specified that the "beach sucks and all the tourist places like the aquarium and Tower are way over priced". They also said they "aren't bothered" about cafes although they do like the Cat Cafe on Birley Street.The request threw up a number of suggestions for the duo to enjoy a relaxing date together in the comments.
Venoxulous posted: "Solid Shouts. I'm also autistic and have been to all of these spots and they're ideal. In fact I live much further south than before and I will still travel to Cleveleys for the Vue cinema because of how peaceful it can be there."
