Police have provided an update
Police have charged a suspect over the stabbing of a 15-year-old boy in Nottingham. Police officers and paramedics were called to Nottingham Road, near Bells Lane, Aspley, shortly before 9.55pm on Thursday, June 22.
The victim was taken to hospital and needed surgery for his several injuries which are not currently believed to be life-threatening. His condition is currently described as stable but very serious. A 17-year-old boy was arrested on Friday in connection with the investigation. The boy, who can’t be named for legal reasons, has now been charged with wounding with intent, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and possession of cannabis. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday .
Detective Sergeant Lisa Jones, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “I am pleased we have now been able to charge a suspect in connection with this very serious assault. “Our investigation remains ongoing, and I would urge anyone with information to call 101, quoting incident number 823 of 22 June 2023, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
