A TEENAGER who knocked another youth unconscious in Glasgow city centre has avoided jail.
The 16-year-old pounced on the boy of the same age at Royal Exchange Square on October 23 2021.He then went on to knee and kick the boy on the head which knocked him out.Sheriff Paul Reid ordered the teenager to be of good behaviour until February next year.
The court earlier heard that the pair had a"coming together" which resulted in the attacker punching the victim.Prosecutor Darren Harty said:"The attacker repeatedly punched the boy to the head and body before kneeing him on the head. "While he was lying in the prone position, the attacker kicked him on the head which rendered him unconscious."
