Darrion Rackley, 19, was arrested Saturday in connection with the slaying Teyaurra Harris, 19, on April 14, 2022, according to Akron police.

Darrion Rackley, 19, was arrested Saturday on a murder warrant at the Harold K. Stubbs Justice Center, according to police. He currently is being held in the Summit County Jail on one count of murder, five counts of felonious assault, and one count of improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle. Rackley is accused of shooting Teyaurra Harris on April 14, 2022. Police say Harris was in the area when gunfire erupted between multiple gunmen on the 1400 block of Rockaway Street at about 7:30 p.m. She was driven by a private vehicle to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
A 21-year-old woman who was a passenger in a vehicle also was wounded by gunfire, police say. Her identity has not been released, but police say she was not involved in the shooting.
