The group hope to ascend and descend the highest peaks in Ireland, Northern Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales within 48 hours
A group of over 20 work colleagues – all amateur and novice climbers - are aiming to climb the highest 5 Peaks across Ireland and the UK in under 48 hours while raising thousands for charity in the process.
He added: “After our first climb, we’ve then to climb Slieve Donard in the dark, before getting the ferry from Dublin Port to Holyhead. The final leg of the journey sees the group head to Scotland to climb the highest mountain in the UK and Ireland, Ben Nevis. “We came up with the idea of asking them to sponsor the monetary value of the height of a peak and they really embraced the idea.
“We believe in supporting local communities and charities making a difference but last year, instead of simply making donations, we decided to make a conscious effort, post-Covid, to promote an active involvement and encourage our team to participate in fundraising and charity events, so here we are!”
