TCU enters top 10 of College Football Playoff rankings, but is only worried about winning
The Horned Frogs started the, which were unveiled Tuesday, at No. 7. TCU was one spot behind once-beaten Alabama . The Crimson Tide’s only loss is to top-ranked Tennessee. The final ranking and the top four teams for the CFP will be announced Dec. 4 from Grapevine.
Corrigan pointed to TCU’s need for comeback wins during an appearance on ESPN as the reason for its ranking. “We’re looking at the totality of the game as we go through it,” Corrigan said. “Alabama has got the dominant wins over Mississippi State, at Arkansas, the close win at Texas. [Quarterback] Bryce Young missed the Texas A&M game, which was close, and again, TCU with the wins against Oklahoma State at home and Kansas State at home, really good wins, really good teams.
“This is the very first one, a lot of things are going to happen from now until then,” Galloway said. “But for TCU to be ranked behind Alabama with their resume, it’s not like they didn’t play anybody, they beat four ranked teams, four Top 25 teams in a row and then on the road at West Virginia.”
