Superstar Taylor Swift will headline the final day of the 2020 edition of the U.K.-based Glastonbury Festival, according to announcements Sunday from both the festival and the singer on social media.
The official Twitter account of the Glastonbury Festival shared the news that Swift would headline the festival on through a video announcement with Michael Eavis, the festival's founder. "I'm so pleased to announce that Taylor Swift will be headlining the Sunday ... of Glastonbury this year," Eavis said."She's one of the biggest stars in the world, and she's young, and she's a fantastic American girl. And it's going to be beautiful. And her songs are absolutely amazing. And we're so delighted."
