The solution-oriented line is ten years in the making and originally started in Taraji P. Henson’s kitchen

Photo: Kevork Djansezian/Getty Images One of last year’s hottest trends was famous people making us beauty products, completely unprompted. We got Bieber deodorant, Kendall Jenner toothpaste, Lady Gaga makeup, Posh Spice makeup, Millie Bobby Brown skin care and makeup, along with whispers of Selena Gomez beauty, more Bieber beauty, regular Kendall beauty, and Kylie Jenner everything.

We’re a week into the new year and we now have our first 2020 celebrity beauty line baby: actress Taraji P. Henson’s hair-care collection. It’s called TPH by Taraji and consists of 18 products for all hair types and textures . It’s already available online at Target, , and completely color-coded by function; cleansing, repair, scalp care, and styling

People reports that the solution-oriented line is ten years in the making and it originally started in Henson’s kitchen. “I know that if I didn’t go into acting, I would have been a cosmetologist,” she told the publication. Fans know Henson excels at switching up her hairstyle and that’s reflected in the collection. It’s designed to also treat hair and scalps that wear protective styles via fun consistencies like a gel mask, a scalp oil, and a hair milk.

This latest launch signals that the world of hair care is next in line for the conquering. Last year we were slowly misted by a cloud of celebrity-endorsed makeup and skin-care products and we’re basically numb to the fumes of celebrity fragrances at this point. Still, hair-wise, we’ve only met Chaka Khan’s wigs and Tracee Ellis Ross’s curly hair-care brand Pattern, and now TJP which means there’s a lot more for the taking.

Hasbro Launches Line Of Trap-Building Kits To Encourage Girls To Get Into Post-Apocalyptic SurvivalismHasbro Launches Line Of Trap-Building Kits To Encourage Girls To Get Into Post-Apocalyptic SurvivalismPAWTUCKET, RI—Seeking to challenge the perception that preparing devices to fend off roving marauders is exclusively for boys, Hasbro debuted a new line of weaponized trap-building kits this week to encourage more girls to become involved in the field of post-apocalyptic survivalism. “We found that the average 10-year-old girl is 70% less likely than her male counterpart to be interested in protecting a makeshift scavenger den against the mutants, deviants, and roving marauders who crawled forth from the wreckage of society as compared to their male peers, so we knew we had to do something,” said Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner, who demonstrated prototypes of his company’s “Little Miss Prepared Track ‘n’ Trap” kits, demure brushed-steel suitcases trimmed with rose gold and equipped with survival gear including lengths of pink rope, small floral-accented commando shovels for digging beginner-sized tiger pits, and razor wire looped into heart-shaped deployment reels. “Primary school-age girls tend to fall behind on important skills that will prove vital in our inevitable post-society future, such as knotwork, sharpshooting, and demolitions expertise, and our kits give them the chance to get the same hands-on experience as boys. There’s even an optional pink plastic survival knife that can be used to pretend to whittle wooden stakes and spears, so girls as young as four can develop intimidation soft skills even when they’re not actively assembling a trap. We at Hasbro believe that girls are just as able to subsist in The Burned Land as boys.” Hasbro plans to eventually expand the line to include food canning kits, an E-Z Fry fingerprint-burning chemistry set, and a picture book titled The Princesses’ Guide To Burying Gold Bullion.
