Tanya Tucker will headline CMT’s Next Women of Country: Bring My Flowers Now Tour
“We are honored to have the original woman of country, THE Tanya Tucker, headline our biggest Spring tour to date!” said Leslie Fram, CMT Senior Vice President, Music Strategy & Talent, in a statement. “We’re also thrilled to announce that some of the incredibly talented ladies from our Next Women of Country franchise will be joining Tanya on tour.”
News of Tucker headlining the tour was announced in November in Nashville when CMT revealed its Next Women of Country 2020 Class. Seated backstage following the event, Tucker shared her appreciation of the invitation with “I’m very honored to be able to give these new up-and-coming gals some time on stage in front of my audience and to also introduce my audience to them and to the future,” she said. “I wish somebody had done that for me when I started out.
