If you are Hibs fans and expected to get any kind of result against Aston Villa then you're off your head. No offence and to use a famous quote. It's the economy, stupid! You would have to be deluded to believe a win was on the cards when you look at the gulf between the two clubs.
I've read all the comments about Wednesday being an embarrassment and a humiliation but I don't agree, what transpired in the 5-0 defeat was what anyone with a bit of realism about them expected. Outclassed by a side which is bigger, stronger and far, far better. You also need to be able to get close to an opponent to boot them and I don't think Martin Boyle was the only one who left something on an opponent late in the game but that was about it. I've been in situations playing at Parkhead and Ibrox when I've lost the head and wanted to go and boot somebody but couldn't physically get near them as top players just move the ball so quickly.
