But also while writing the first film, you can’t help but write scenes for a second film. So there’s so many scenes. The mythology was so thick, and yeah, if A24 gave us the opportunity, we wouldn’t be able to resist. I feel like we’d jump at it.

The next thing Talk to Me shows that sets up a sequel is Mia in the hospital, but she realizes she is dead now. She then heads toward the light and finds that she is on the other side of the embalmed hand, waiting for someone to take it — and therefore her hand. This leads people to wonder if Mia will become a benevolent spirit behind the hand or a vindictive one. She was killed and might have a grudge now. Director Danny Philippou said that the answers are all there in the movie.
Talk To Me 2 Story Details There is little in the way of Talk to Me 2 story news. However, directors Danny and Michael Philippou said they have enough material for a possible trilogy of movies. The first movie questioned whether Mia could trust the dead when they told her their "truths" but then the ending had a twist where Mia was now part of the dead. This could really open the door for more exploration into the mythos behind the actual embalmed, inscribed hand.
