At this point, we just want to be Sylvie from Emily in Paris
, but the fashion world is finally catching up. Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu - who fans might also recognise from- has arrived at Paris Couture Week. Her first stop was Schiaparelli, where she sat front row wearing a fabulous shearling coat with its very own sculpted corset. Chef's kiss. Then at last night's Alexandre Vauthier, she appeared wearing a sharp-shouldered, wide-legged outfit that was seriously Sylvie.
Her onscreen wardrobe was a typically cool mix of high end, high street and vintage. Next to Emily, who always erred towards the exuberant end of the spectrum, she was often called a minimalist. But I beg to differ. This was a woman who wore a bandage-esque knit dress from Victor Weinsanto, tiger-print corsetry from Vivienne Westwood, and jewel-bright tailoring by Elie Saab.
