SAN DIEGO — A 23-year-old man died Thursday when a vehicle struck him as he was walking on Interstate 5 in the Banker's Hill area.
Paramedics took the man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name was withheld pending family notification.The accident prompted a closure of two lanes on the freeway in the area for about an hour, CHP public-affairs Officer Jesse Matias said.
