Police have identified the suspect of a Salt Lake City shooting that left one injured on Sunday. They say he is facing several felony offenses.
They initially said a 30-year-old suspect had been taken into custody near the Main City Library and a gun was recovered.
It was later learned that the suspect, identified as Johnny Cisco Cuevas, shot the victim in the right foot before firing three additional rounds at witnesses as he was trying to flee the scene.Police said Cuevas was seen wiping down and hiding the gun in a garbage can moments after the incident had transpired.Officers responded, detained Cuevas and booked him into the Salt Lake County Jail on several felony counts relating to gun violence.
