A man accused of taking illicit photos of an 11-year-old girl with hidden cameras has been released from jail on bond.
Trissel had been arrested in August after police in Grandview said they got a tip from a staff member at the girl's school that she had found hidden cameras in her bathroom and bedroom.
Detectives said they had found numerous recordings made by Trissel of the victim while she was naked.The girl's mother told ABC 6 she had been in a relationship with Trissel for 10 years. ABC 6 does not typically identify the victims of these types of crimes, but the girl's mother was adamant about sharing her family's story. Still, for this online story, ABC 6 has chosen not to use the woman's name.
"I can’t show her I am afraid because then she will be afraid," she told ABC 6 after learning Trissel had posted bond. "She is already afraid that he is out, but I told her, 'Mom is going to protect you. Don’t you worry.'"Trissel was a former nurse at Mount Carmel, though a spokesperson from the hospital told ABC 6 he is not actively working at any of its facilities.
