An off-duty female police officer was involved in a shooting Wednesday while attempting to stop a robbery-in-progress, according to Chicago police.
The shooting happened around 1 p.m. near 90th and Ada, across from an in-home daycare, in the city's Brainerd neighborhood. "The tussle that they had almost had me in tears because she's a tiny little person. So, I'm glad that she was able to keep herself together and do what she needed to do to come out alive," a fellow neighbor added.
