Millions of Brits love spending time with their dogs both in the house and out on a long, sunny walk. But when inside there are a number of potentially toxic foods that could poison man's best friend.
The items on the list have included avocados, garlic, onions and ibuprofen. The caption urged viewers: "Be sure to do research before giving your dog new foods and contact your veterinarian if they get into something they shouldn't have." Another, more well-known item featured in the video was chocolate, with the main ingredient, cocoa, containing the life-threatening compound theobromine. A dog’s heart rate would increase if it were to ingest theobromine.
One person wrote: "Grapes?? I give my dog grapes all the time". "I was unaware of the garlic and onions", another said.
