Asda has ditched the unfortunate title after every other supermarket hiked the price of one shopping essential
A supermarket has swiped the unfortunate title of 'most expensive' from Asda for the first time since January.
In fact, Asda is one of only two supermarkets which hasn't risen in price this week, as four of the others have all hiked the cost of a 500g pack of mince, following Morrisons' hike last week. Sainsbury's and Morrisons are on a par at £12.17, while Aldi is second cheapest at £11.90 and Lidl retains its cheapest position with a bill of £11.58. It too increased the price of its mince, but only by 4p from £2.15 to £2.19.
