A Superman: Legacy casting update has revealed who some of the possible choices for Lex Luthor could be in the DCU.
are in the running to play Luthor. It’s unclear if Hoult, who originally wanted the villainous part, will also try out for Luthor alongside Superman. Members of the DC supergroup The Authority are also being cast, as Superman: Legacy’s world will reportedly already have superheroes existing in it.
“Superman: Legacy tells the story of Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas,” reads the movie’s official synopsis. “He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.”
Production on Superman: Legacy is expected to begin in early 2024, just on track for its currently scheduled theatrical release on July 11, 2025.
