Kansas City Chiefs beat Philadelphia Eagles, 38-35, in Super Bowl LVII
PHILADELPHIA — It’s a cold, rainy February night here. The streets are empty but the bars are packed and Eagles chants echo through downtown toward Broad Street, the main thoroughfare of Center City.
Two blocks south of City Hall, Philly Elmo, a local celebrity who’s known as a band leader for any Philadelphia celebration, takes shelter from the rain with the rest of his drum line in one of the entryways of the buildings lining Broad Street. They’re waiting for the Eagles to possibly win their second Super Bowl in franchise history and for thousands of fans to pack Broad Street to celebrate.
