Suns, Clippers Interested In Trading For Eric Gordon; Buyout Unlikely For Gordon - RealGM Wiretap
For what feels like the umpteenth season, Eric Gordon is available on the trade market. The Houston Rockets have yet to deal the veteran guard, but the Phoenix Suns and LA Clippers are the most recent teams to express interest in dealing for Gordon.
Gordon started his career with the Clippers. He played his first three seasons in Los Angeles before being traded to the then New Orleans Hornets as part of the deal that brought Chris Paul to the Clippers. Gordon spent five years with the Hornets/Pelicans, before joining the Rockets in 2016. The Suns have been on the hunt for additional shooting and wing help. Phoenix has offered Jae Crowder, as well as other package to various teams to bring in more bench depth.
If Gordon isn't traded by Thursday's deadline, it's not likely he'll work a buyout with Houston. Both sides will continue together into the offseason, when Gordon has a $20.9 million non-guaranteed contract.
