The Eileen Grimshaw actress will swap the cobbles for the production, which will tour the UK next year. Sue will portray the role of Mother Superior at select venues, with fans struggling to contain their excitement when the news was announced this week.
’ We couldn’t agree more! Sister Act: The Musical is based on the film starring Whoopi Goldberg. It follows musician Deloris Van Cartier, who witnesses a murder. Sue will play Mother Superior at select venues While under protective custody, Deloris joins a convent and decides to help her fellow sisters find their voices. Elsewhere, in Coronation Street, Eileen was less than impressed recently when George decided that she would be perfect to replace Todd at the funeral parlour.
