What an amazing landmark! 🤩
St Mungos Primary School and Nursery Class, based in Townhead, celebrated 50 years in business on Friday.with a special anniversary mass.
Primary one to seven pupils, teachers, parents and family members all attended the event, which saw members of the church, including Archbishop William Nolan, leading attendees through prayers, gospel and communion.Attendees also took part in singing hymns alongside the three-piece guitar band and a select group of pupils read out prayers and sections of the bible.
Talking on the day, Mrs Patricia McNulty, head teacher at St Mungo’s Primary School and Nursery Class beamed with joy."We are a very inclusive school and we come from such a diverse range of backgrounds. "So, to have this beautiful celebration today is all of what St Mungos is about, it's about family, community and coming together."It has just felt like a really good coming together of the community, especially since we've been so disparate over covid."
After the special mass, attendees gathered to look at the memorabilia of past pupils and St Mungos classes.READ MORE:
