There's been a bit of a change of plan
A developer who wants to turn a former Lancaster warehouse and engineering site into student flats has slightly changed the position for a planned extension, following ground tests for foundations and the potential impact on nearby buildings.
In addition, a new mixed three-storey and single-storey building was approved at the western boundary, fronting Wheatfield Street. It features eight more student studios, equipment rooms and a bin storage area. An additional bin storage facility was also included on the southern side. building as previously approved on the site boundary as the construction work would undermine the existing boundary wall and the newer block wall of St James Court behind.
