Nikita joined Strictly Come Dancing in 2021
Nikita Kuzmin thought his dancing career was over when he was first diagnosed with a condition as a teenager.
Nikita Kuzmin’s ongoing health battle Nikita has Type 1 diabetes which is a chronic disease that needs to be monitored every day. He was first diagnosed as a teenager and at the time he thought his dancing career “was over”. He continued: "Like when I found out, I was 13 and I just came back to Ukraine and at that time, I'd been dancing already for nine years. I lived in three countries and everything because of that.
