Strictly professional Giovanni Pernice is said to have snubbed Amanda Abbington after she announced she was quitting Strictly Come Dancing. The 49-year-old Sherlock actress shared a statement and said she hadn't taken the decision to exit “lightly”.
As The Mirror reports, the news was announced on Monday’s It Takes Two. Amanda shared her statement to fans on Instagram on Tuesday, in which she said: “It is with deepest regret that I had to leave Strictly. I did not come to this decision easily or lightly but for personal reasons I am unable to continue.
When the announcement was made on Monday, he went to Instagram to post a picture of himself and the mum-of-two, backstage of the BBC studio. He captioned the photo: "Amanda ..I am so sad we can’t continue but I am proud of what we achieved and I am sending you so much love @amanda_abbington74 @bbcstrictly."
However, on the BBC show It Takes Two, host Janette Manrara asked Amanda how she was feeling about the rehearsals. "It honestly looks like you two are having the best time, getting along like a house on fire in rehearsals, right?" Janette said.
