StrangerThings season 5 will begin filming in May of this year, according to Noah Schnapp. Season 4 dropped its final episodes in July 2022, but season 5 isn't expected to release until 2024 at the earliest.

As pre-production for Stranger Things season 5 continues, Noah Schnapp reveals that the final season of the hit Netflix series will begin filming in May. The highly successful Duffer Brothers-helmed sci-fi series returned to screens in 2022 with season 4, which was released in two volumes across May and July.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY As reported by Collider, Schnapp was asked by fans during a stream on Instagram Live whether the filming for the upcoming final season of Stranger Things would interfere with his education. Schnapp reassured the fan that the Netflix series' production would not cross over with his time at school, before revealing that production is set to begin at the start of May.

Following the release of Stranger Things season 4 volume 2, the Duffer brothers emphasized that they were primarily focused on making sure the final episodes were of an acceptable quality that met their own standards before offering a potential release date. However, Netflix confirmed that Stranger Things season 5 would film in 2023 through an official statement, with it assumed the final season could air in 2024.

Stranger Things has garnered much praise from both critics and audiences since it first debuted in 2016, attracting a dedicated fanbase. As such, while the Stranger Things universe is set to expand in the coming years, viewers' are still eager to find out how the story of the Hawkins group may conclude.
