The potential for mudslides remains worrisome from inland canyons to coastal bluffs, with special concerns about the cliffs at Del Mar and Torrey Pines State Beach.
The last in a long series of storms will dart ashore in San Diego County early Sunday evening and drop about an inch of rain on most areas by Monday morning when the system will weaken and produce scattered showers into Tuesday, the National Weather Service said.
Fallbrook, Escondido and Ramona each received about 2.5 inches of precipitation and could again be among the wettest spots as the new system works its way through the area. San Diego International Airport has received 5.32 inches in seasonal rainfall, which is 1.40 inches above average. Ramona Airport has recorded 9.63 inches, which is 4.25 inches above average.
