Stocks opened slightly lower Wednesday, showing a weaker tone ahead of congressional testimony from Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, -0.15% was off 73 pitns, or 0.3%, at 27,619, while the S&P 500 SPX, -0.22% was off 0.3% at 3,082. The Nasdaq Composite COMP, -0.32% declined 0.3% to 8,458.
