He led a fast-expanding company, Anonymous Content, that specializes in compelling stories told with a strong vision. The late Steve Golin was recognized as part of 2018's Variety500 presented by verizondigital
Golin’s production and management company Anonymous Content, which has a slate that includes 2016 Oscar winner “Spotlight” and USA’s “Mr. Robot,” has stepped up its premium-TV activities with the Emma Stone–Jonah Hill Netflix series “Maniac” and Julia Roberts’ Amazon title “Homecoming” joined by two series orders at Apple and Patty Jenkins’ limited series with Chris Pine, “I Am the Night,” at TNT.
He held first-look development deals with the New York Times and Condé Nast, a new literary-rights division and a partnership in U.K. production house Chapter One. Still, as his film output continued with Gus Van Sant’s “Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot” and Glenn Close’s powerful performance in “The Wife,” it’s clear that Golin envisioned a long future for Anonymous. He passed away in April 2019.
