The Steelers will now rely on unproven second-year quarterback Mason Rudolph to lead a ship that’s already without All-Pros, running back Le’Veon Bell and wide receiver Antonio Brown, who departed this past offseason. Depending on the severity of his injury and what type of surgery Roethlisberger undergoes, there’s also a chance that he has played his final NFL game. Knowing the veteran, that seems unlikely. We should know by then where Rudolph and the Steelers stand. More importantly, Pittsburgh will have a better idea as it relates to the young signal caller.
