Bonta announced that the state’s Department of Justice will review independently the fatal shooting in compliance with a state law that went into effect last year that requires his office to investigate all police shootings involving unarmed citizens. The man died at the scene despite the aid of police and medics, authorities said. Authorities did not identify him Friday.Following the shooting, police and airport officials each said the man was armed.
