The State Department urges against travel to China over the coronavirus outbreak
The outbreak has killed more than 200 people in China and sickened more than 8,000 worldwide. As of Wednesday, 92 possible cases of the respiratory disease were under investigation in the United States.
The State Department advisory urged all nonessential U.S. government personnel to defer travel to China. One hundred ninety five U.S. citizens who were evacuated from Wuhan earlier this week are being temporarily housed at an Air Force base in California.
