Starbucks settles New York probe into illegal sick leave policy

The settlement with Starbucks, which has changed its sick leave policy, was announced by New York Attorney General Letitia James, New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio and the city’s consumer affairs commissioner, Lorelei Salas. Starbucks must also clearly explain its sick leave policy in to its more than 8,000 New York City employees, and detail its compliance within six months to regulators.Starbucks did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
